With Phweet you can make a call to one or more twitter friends without having to use skype or other application. I haven´t tested it yet buy looks promising.
I tested it with Carlos Vaz, he is a Portuguese living in Portugal, and it worked perfect. The service was down for a while but now it seems to be running fine again. It seems to be promising once it's more reliable.
