FOTOBABBLE - adding audio to your pictures
This is such a nice tool!!!!
I've found it while checking out David Kapuler's FANTASTIC wiki and decided to give it a go.

HOW CAN WE USE IT WITH STUDENTS?
- have students select a picture and talk about it. Possible topics: their neighbourhood, their house, their family, their pet, their best friend.
- for FCE students: have them choose a picture and describe it.

Fairy Tales and Lívia Fernandes
Let me talk about a colleague of mine I really admire, Lívia Fernandes. Not only is she a talented EFL teacher but she also finds time and energy for her second love (or first?), photography.
What I like about her photos? They're creative, innovative, colourful, energetic ...
These are some slideshows of two of her projects. The first one is called "Conto100fadas" and she deconstructs Famous Fairy Tales such as "Little Red Riding Hood", "Alice" and others.
The second project she created for Halloween.
You can find more of her photos at http://www.flickr.com/photos/lz-fernandes/
or at her blog Atellie Fotografia.

La PhotoCabine

Do you know those photo booths where you sit down and can take a series of picture shots with a coin? You can do that virtually.
I don't know how this could be used in a classroom but it's sure FUN.
This was my trial with La PhotoCabine.
After you take the pictures, you can save it, print it or get the URL to share it. You'll notice the site is in French but it's not a problem. :)

Fotoviewr- photo gallery
This is a different way of viewing your flickr photos. It's very simple, you click on get started, choose the kind of gallery you prefer, type in your flickr username, select the set of pictures you would like to see, and voilá the site creates the photo gallery for you.
What I like about it - it must be very beautiful to look at on the e-board and looks very futuristic.
What I didn't like about it - I wish we could select pictures from overall flickr filtering by tag. This way we could show various pictures to our students on a given topic.
After creating your gallery you can share it in facebook, orkut or publish it in your blog by grabbing the embed code.

SHWUP - creating a photo album collaboratively
I´ve bookmarked Shwup recently and was waiting for a chance to try it out. There are many other sites which do the same but what is different about Shwup is that you can invite other people to contribute to the photo album with pictures they´ve taken and then you can create a photo album with all the photos taken, make a slideshow or movie, get a link and also post it at facebook , orkut or many other sites.
So. what´s SHWUP?
My Muvee

It´s a pity the quality of the photos have deteriorated in the little film. WHY?

Working with PHOTOS
I found these sites in a Brazilian teen magazine and wanted to try them myself. They transform photos virtually. You can become Asian, a Simpsons character, look similar to a celebrity, have your caricature done, etc.
Check out the results:
